Mondays...Like Buttah

Do you remember that old Saturday Night Live skit Coffee Talk with Linda Richman?

Mike Myers plays Linda, a stereotypical middle-aged Jewish woman who hosts a talk show. When Linda admires something, she says--in her exaggerated New York accent--“it’s like buttah” (like butter).

While we don't like to reinforce stereotypes here at High Calling Blogs, I couldn’t help thinking of Linda--and her bright red fingernails, gaudy jewelry, and big hair--when I snapped this photo of our next book club book: Loving Monday: Succeeding in Business Without Selling Your Soul by John D. Beckett. To read more about the book, check out my introductory article from last week or visit Amazon via our nifty widget on the sidebar.

I think this book is going to make Mondays seem like buttah.

Join us next Monday, February 8th,  for our beginning discussion of this promising book. We’ll be looking at chapters one through three this first week. (** Note: This is a change from our original plan, but since the chapters are so short I decided this would make for a juicier discussion!)

I’m getting a little verklempt just thinking about it.
