Giving Back in Social Media

Today I want to share one tip that I first learned from Ann Voskamp. Not that she told me to do it. Not that I asked. I just happened to notice this pretty cool thing in her sidebar called "The Ponderings."

This is Ann's way of giving back in social media.

It's list of links she changes from time to time, of the best posts she's read recently in her blog community. The links drive traffic to these posts, they say "thank you" in their way, and they direct the rest of us to good stuff.

Since finding "The Ponderings" at Ann's, I started my own sidebar highlights, and I know a few of you have too.

If you've never tried giving back like this, it might be a good time to get out the wrapping paper and ribbons. If you're doing this, we'd love to hear about it.
