TheHighCalling.org seeks to create opportunities for Christian leaders to encounter God through new media tools for the transformation of daily life, work, and our world. Christian leaders are in all aspects and activities of daily life—including home, community, leisure, as well as occupation.

HOWARD E. BUTT, JR.

Howard E. Butt, Jr., has dedicated his life to both the family business and Christian leadership. His vision for the vital role of the laity in the church and daily life has led him to write several books and produce one-minute radio spots entitled The High Calling of Our Daily Work®. This site is an effort to provide you with a tool to delve deeper into the concepts introduced in those messages.

ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Advisory Council is a diverse group of Christian clergy and laity (nonclergy) from all regions of the country. They are all notable speakers and writers on living the Christian faith. They believe strongly in the message of connecting our faith with the ordinary nitty-gritty areas of life.

Foundations for Laity Renewal
Founded by the H. E. Butt Foundation

This is a program of Foundations for Laity Renewal (http://www.laityrenewal.org/). Established in 1933 by Howard and Mary Holdsworth Butt as a private operating foundation to address their charitable, educational, and philanthropic concerns, Foundations for Laity Renewal is one of the oldest foundations in the state of Texas.

LAITY LODGE

Laity Lodge (http://www.laitylodge.org) is a Christian retreat center dedicated to our common quest to know Christ and what that means in all the relationships of our lives.

For more than forty years, Laity Lodge has served as a beacon of light for churches and lay men and women looking for spiritual depth. It is out of the work of Laity Lodge that this site emerged.
