Hello! I live in Kerrville, Texas, with my amazing husband Damon. We are surrounded by family and enjoy spending plenty of time with them. My very favorite thing is a quiet Saturday morning spent relaxing on the back porch with Damon and a cup of hot coffee. I also love to read (just about anything historical), to travel, and to bake. I serve the Foundations for Laity Renewal as the Editorial Director. It’s been twenty-seven years since I first signed with FLR. Home base is Kerrville where my wife teaches high school horticulture. In my free time I like to compete in track & field throwing events. My blog posts can be found at Ramblin’ Dan.

I write. I dance. I laugh out loud. I make my way to the ocean whenever possible. "Disco" is my word for the year. I used to be a pastor, but now I write and work with computers. I've been blogging at Real Live Preacher since 2002. Sometimes I write for the Christian Century. I've written a couple of books: Real Live Preacher.com and Turtles all the Way Down. My wife and our three daughters live in San Antonio.

I believe in the power of stories. They help us grow in ways that more traditional teaching methods cannot touch. Every life has a story to tell.
