Christian Educators Association International (CEAI) is the only professional association in the United States specifically for Christian educators in public schools. Their mission states, "CEAI protects our members in prayer...and other benefits while helping them live out their high calling as a Christian in the public school." (emphasis added)

Over the last few days, the CEAI's blog has been posting prayers and devotionals to encourage teachers during their high-stakes "testing" weeks. Karen C. Seddon, State Director for CEAI in Florida, writes, "Look around at your colleagues with an eye for someone who is really burdened by this testing period and the end of the year. Do something nice for them. It could just be a little time invested to hear how their day is going, a smile and a pat on the back for a great effort or even a little note. We all need that kind of attention, don't we? Be an encourager with no expectation of getting it back and look to your incredible blessings that you have been given because you are an educator."

When we become Christians, we don't merely choose an eternity in heaven over hell. Rather, we are "born again"; like a newborn child, each of us enters into a new life that we fully inhabit, day-in and day-out. God desires that we pursue a relationship with him every day, in all aspects of life. When we try to live daily life for the sake of his glory, he deems it sacred.
