Good Work Takes Sacrifice
When a downtrodden Nathan told his wife Sophia he had been fired from his job, she was elated. She cried: "Now, you can write your book!"
Nathan was incredulous. He said, "And what will we live on while I am writing?"
Sophia was ready. She said, "I have always known you were a man of genius and someday you would write a masterpiece. So every week, out of the money for housekeeping, I saved a little. Here is enough to last us a year."
Spurred by his wife’s faith and foresight, Nathaniel Hawthorne spent the next several months writing The Scarlet Letter.

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name.
