Let the Rain Fall

It wasn’t the rain pouring outside that disrupted Frank’s workday. It was the rain pouring inside. High winds damaged a section of the building’s roof, and several offices—Frank’s included—were soggy. What’s more, the main computer was down, which hamstrung Frank.

Then Susan, his office mate, breezed in, collected her backup drive, and headed home for a productive day on her laptop. "How did you know to back up your files?" Frank asked. "Easy," Susan said. "Last year, they sent around one of those ‘Be Prepared’ memos. So I prepared."

This is Howard Butt, Jr., of Laity Lodge. Ever notice that problems tend to bother those people least who prepare the most? Preparation today benefits tomorrow… in the high calling of our daily work.

When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation. Prov. 10:25
