In a video recorded at the Q Gathering held April, 2012 in Washington DC, Amy Sherman shared the implications of Proverbs 11:10, "When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices."
Missional church leaders seek deep community transformation that advances a fortaste of God’s Kingdom. Too often, though, we fail to deploy our congregants’ unique vocational power strategically, creatively, and effectively toward that bold end.
Equipping members for living missionally in and through their work is an essential strategy for “rejoicing our cities." That vision demands that we draw thoroughly on all our congregants have to offer—their vocational expertise, networks, influence, platforms, and skills.
