Affordable Accountability: Who Pays the Price?

Deep down, I'm a free spirit. If I had my choice, I would prefer a world where I was the one to determine the rules, the parameters, and the boundaries.

Of course, the downside of too much freedom is sheer chaos. Living with all of those consequences would not be pretty!

Gary Davis is an insightful blogger in the High Calling Network. His blog, NEEDinc, is resplendent with insights into our current culture. He recently wrote about the benefits of accountability.

“We all live within the autonomy of accountability,” he acknowledges.

There’s a lure to live the carefree life, but as Gary writes, “Those who live without ambitions or borders rarely amount to much; for they have given into the belief that license equals true liberty... True accountability is costly for all involved; in a sense, it is never quite affordable.”
