David Owens, Ph.D., is a retired minister of Presbyterian Church USA and retired visiting professor of English at Sam Houston State University. He is married to writer Virginia Stem Owens, with whom he coauthored Living Next Door to the Death House (Wm. B. Eerdmans, 2003). Both are members of the Chrysostom Society.
