Bio

Gary is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Baylor's doctoral program (1985), He worked as an editor for Word Publishing in Waco in the early 1980s. He has served in Baptist, Presbyterian, and Lutheran churches, and is currently serving as Minister of Spiritual Formation at Colonial Church of Edina, Minnesota (Congregational). In addition to his adult education teaching responsibilities at Colonial, Gary is developing a new "Center for Spiritual Formation" devoted to exploring the contemplative life and how individuals develop in their faith. Recently, he also served as General Editor for a nine-volume series on preaching called The Library of Distinctive Sermons. Gary and his wife, Debra, have two children.He also serves on TheHighCalling.org Advisory Council.
