Mark Roberts is the Executive Director of Digital Media and the Theological and Cultural Steward for Foundations for Laity Renewal. As Executive Director, Mark oversees The High Calling team and works with his colleagues on the vision and strategy for digital media outreach. As Theological and Cultural Steward, Mark helps Foundations for Laity Renewal and the people we serve to grow in theological depth and understanding.
Mark is the author of six books, including his most recents: Can We Trust the Gospels? (Crossway, 2007) and Discovering Advent: How to Experience the Power of Waiting on God at Christmastime (e-book from Patheos, 2011). He is currently writing a commentary on Ephesians. Mark often writes for Foundations for Laity Renewal publications, including TheHighCalling.org. He also represents FLR as a writer and speaker in a wide variety of contexts. Much of his writing appears on his Patheos blog.
Before assuming his role as Executive Director of Digital Media, Mark was Senior Advisor and Theologian-in-Residence, as well as Director for Laity Lodge for four years. Before joining the Foundation, he was the Senior Pastor of Irvine Presbyterian Church in Southern California. With a Ph.D. in New Testament from Harvard, Mark has also taught for Fuller Seminary and San Francisco Theological Seminary.
