Profile Information
Matthew Dickerson lives, writes, and teaches in Vermont. He is the author several books including most recently "A Hobbit Journey: Discovering the Enchantment of J.R.R.Tolkien's Middle-earth" (Brazos Press, 2012) and "The Mind and the Machine: what it means to be human and why it matters" (Brazos Press, 2011). Among the several books he has written or co-written about the literature of C.S.Lewis and J.R.R.Tolkien are two focusing on the interplay of theological and environmental aspects of their writing: "Ents, Elves, and Eriador: the Environmental Vision of J.R.R.Tolkien" and "Narnia and the Fields of Arbol: the Environmental Vision of C.S.Lewis." He has a new novel due out in early 2014, tentatively titled "The Rood and the Torc."
