Paula D'Arcy (M.Ed., University of New Hampshire) was a counselor in private practice in Massachusetts for eleven years, specializing in issues of grief, relationships, abuse, and spirituality. Today she lives in Austin, Texas. She is the author of When People Grieve, The Gift of the Red Bird, and Sacred Threshold. She is also President of the Red Bird Foundation, which supports the growth and spiritual development of disadvantaged persons throughout the world.
