Execute the Last Order Received

About This Video

Summary:
Another encouraging message from Howard Butt Jr. on the importance of finding our peace in the presence of God.

When we're consumed with doubt, it's easy to panic. The best way to remain calm is to focus on the true constant in our lives: the love of God. When He is really at the center of what we do, people can't help but notice.

TRANSCRIPT: In storms of crisis, Joe was a haven of calm. When projects went wrong . . . when upper management was out of reach . . . Joe held the course.  A team member asked Joe his secret.

He said: "In the Army, I served in a Cavalry Regiment.  And we had a saying in the Cav, 'When all else fails, execute the last order you get.' "

This is Howard Butt, Jr., of Laity Lodge.  Have you ever had a day go haywire?  Customers revolt . . . competitors up to tricks . . . colleagues at cross-purposes?  Be assured:  God is close by.  Let others panic and scramble. Offer up a quick prayer.  Your job is to do the best you can with the direction you have . . . in the high calling of our daily work.

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. (Heb. 10:36)
