About This Video

Summary:
Recently, The High Calling spoke with Nancy Norris, Wife, Mother, and Community Volunteer, about the high and holy calling of motherhood and embracing it fully. She reminds us, once again, that a vocation means more than a paycheck, and a workplace means more than an office.

Transcript: There is huge value in being a Mom. It is a high and holy calling. And, I had a husband who would tell me that when he would leave in the morning. And, it makes me teary to think about that, and I do tell young women that their calling as a Mom is high and holy. It's not glamorous, it's not always a beautiful day, but I really, really believe that for me I embraced it, instead of fought it. I think if you embrace being at home, and all the repercussions of that, that it is a high calling, a holy, holy thing, more than I think we can ever recognize. It was helpful to have a husband to tell me that and to honor me in that position, and to never, ever, ever underestimate my work.
