About This Video

Summary:
Recently, The High Calling spoke with author and consultant, Leigh McLeroy, about the role of beauty in the Christian life and how beauty evokes a longing for the fullness of God.

I grew up on the H.E.B. Foundation Camps in the Texas Hill Country, swimming and stomping through the Frio river under massive limestone bluffs. Beauty was all around me, present and necessary. Somehow I have never managed to take it for granted. It was in this place of beauty that I first felt a desire to know the Creator behind it.

Leigh is right—beauty stirs us into longing for God. We are created to desire it, and to cultivate it. No matter where you are, whether it's the Frio River Valley or a concrete canyon, beauty is there to be found if you look for it...and so is God.
