"Why is work important?" - Jack Willome

About This Video

Summary:
Recently, The High Calling spoke with retired CEO of Rayco, Jack Willome, about why work is important and how God gives us gifts to incorporate into our work life.

Transcript: God is a God of work, and his work is creation, which is taking nothing and making something out of it. His desire is for us to use the gifts and abilities he's given us to come with him in the work that he's about. The imagination that He's given us, the different creative gifts that he's given us, all speak to the creator who desires my submitting my will to his will, to allow him to work in and through me.

Through the redemption of Jesus we have the opportunity to work in a blessed field as opposed to the cursed field that Adam was put in to after the fall and to have work as a part of a healthy, natural, fulfilling vibrant life, as opposed to a drudgery and back breaking ordeal.
